Lord, Teach us to Pray. This small group will study specific prayers to help us see how to pray.

Berean Bible Study

This study will be held at the church building with child care provided most times by Sarah.  Please let Jeffrey know if you need child care.  We will meet the first and third Mondays throughout the school year.  Our topic this year will be prayer.  More than a study of mechanics we will study actual prayers.  If there is a need to cancel a study we will simply move the topics to the next week.  The list of prayers that we will study, along with the dates, are below:

Sept. 19 – Intercessory Prayer:  Abraham (Gen. 18:16-33) and Moses (Num. 14)

Oct. 3 – Desperate Hope and Deep Desire (1 Sam. 2:1-11)

Oct. 17 – David’s Prayer of personal confession (Ps. 51)

Nov. 7 – Daniel and Nehemiah’s Prayers of Confession for their People (Dan. 9:1-19/Neh. 1)

Nov. 21 – It’s Not About Me (2 Sam. 7:18-29)

Dec. 5 – Jonah’s Prayer (Jonah 2)

Dec. 19 – Mary’s Prayer of Praise (Luke 1:46-56)

Jan. 2 – NO CLASS

Jan. 16 – Solomon’s Prayer of Dedication (1 Kings 8:22-61)

Feb. 6 – Hezekiah’s Prayer Facing The Enemy (2 Kings 19:14-19)

Feb. 20 – The Model Prayer (Luke 11:1-4)

March 5 – A Priestly Prayer (John 17)

March 19 – A Deathly Prayer (2 Kings 20:1-6, Matt. 26:36-46; Acts 8:54-60)

April 2 – Paul’s Prayer for the Ephesians (Eph. 1:15-23)

April 16 – Make Up Night
